QUESTION:
Does Cumberland Valley have a budget plan available? If so, how and when can you get on it?

ANSWER:

Yes, Cumberland Valley Electric does offer a budget plan to qualified members.

Applications are accepted in July. In order to qualify, you must have been a member in good standing with at least twelve (12) months of history on the account you want to add to the budget plan so that the budget payments can be calculated.

The July bill is the “catch-up” bill, during which the budget amount of usage is compared to the actual usage for the previous year. Any extra usage over the amount budgeted is added to the July bill, while any over payment for less usage than the budgeted amount appears as a credit.
